Kom Ombo & Edfu Tour

Your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in the morning. After around an hour drive from Aswan, you will start your day tour by visiting Kom Ombo,

The Temple of Kom Ombo

Kom Ombo Temple is located in Kom Ombo, Aswan Governorate in southern Egypt. The temple was founded during the reign of Ptolemy VI to worship the gods Sobek and Horus. The walls of this temple were decorated with intimate Egyptian decoration, characterized by the accuracy of its workmanship, the good harmony and the beauty of the balance between the characters of its scenes and the surrounding hieroglyphic inscriptions which complement these scenes. The temple has a unique design. And as it is dedicated to two deities, it has two parallel axial passages running through its colonnaded halls and ending in two chapels: the southern axis (right) is for Sobek, and the northern axis (left) is for Horus. Apart from the beautiful column capitals, the Kom Ombo Temple also features impressive sceneries adorning its walls. The calendar lists holidays and other religious activities.

After that, you will enjoy a lunch in a nice restaurant.

Then move to visit Temple of Edfu

The Temple of Horus in Edfu, an ancient place dedicated to the cult of the son of Osiris and Isis, the falcon god, is one of the best preserved temples in all of Egypt.
The Temple of Horus, also known as Edfu, is located in the center of the city of the same name. Located 100 km from Luxor and 130 km from Aswan, it is an obligatory point of passage due to its extraordinary historical and architectural importance during a cruise on the Nile.
Contains many statues including
Statues in black granite representing the falcon and the naos, and numerous decorations, columns and inscriptions.
