Our Rep. will meet and assist you at Cairo International Airport. Then you will meet your tour guide to pick you up with a private air-conditioned car to start your magical tour in Cairo by visiting the Grand Egyptian Museum.

 

The GEM displays Egyptian history from prehistory to the Greek-Roman period with 50,000 objects that have never been exhibited before.

You will visit with other people and it is a trial phase opening with limited access.

The Hanging Obelisk

The Hanging Obelisk is an amazing example of ancient Egyptian engineering and is one of the most interesting artifacts displayed at the Grand Egyptian Museum. After an earthquake, the obelisk fell over but surprisingly stayed suspended on its side, which is why it’s called the “Hanging Obelisk.” It was originally meant for the Karnak Temple Complex but was later moved to Alexandria, where it was set up in the city’s central square.

 

Ramses II Statue

The Grand Staircase is more than just a path; it’s a doorway to the past. At the top, you’ll have great views of the museum’s galleries and the famous Cairo skyline.

 

Main Gallaries

This is a unique chance for visitors to take a journey through time. The museum’s 12 Main Galleries showcase over 15,000 artifacts from different dynasties and periods, covering all of ancient Egypt’s history. These galleries offer a glimpse into the development of Egyptian society, culture, religion, and royal legacies, from prehistoric times to the Graeco-Roman era.

The galleries are divided into four main sections:

  • Prehistoric to Second Intermediate Period: This era saw the rise of divine kingship and pyramid building, with a strong focus on the afterlife.
  • Middle Kingdom to Second Intermediate Period: Central power was restored, and funerary practices became more inclusive, extending to common people.
  • New Kingdom: Known as Egypt’s golden age, this period featured expansion, wealth, and grand temples under leaders like Ramesses II, with deep devotion to gods like Amun-Ra.
  • Third Intermediate to Graeco-Roman Period: Even with foreign rule, Egyptian traditions mixed with Greco-Roman culture, maintaining core beliefs in gods and the afterlife.

After that, you will go to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat to see its temporary exhibition presenting the history of four crafts in Egypt from prehistory to modern history.

Additionally, the new display of the royal mummies.

Finally, our team will transfer you to your hotel in Cairo.

Overnight in Cairo.

You will be met by our private Egyptologist English-speaking guide at your hotel to accompany you by air-conditioned car to visit The Pyramids of Giza which are the eternal resting places of the pharaohs of the 4th dynasty (2550 B.C.).

You will see the three famous pyramids of the Giza Plateau (Cheops, Chefren, and Mecyrinos), the smaller pyramids of Queens and Princesses, the Valley temple of king Chephren, the Great Sphinx, and the high official tombs around the king’s pyramids.

Make sure you will have unforgettable photos and memories there.

Then you will move to visit The Egyptian Museum which exhibits thousands of objects ranging from the prehistoric era to the Greco–Roman period. It has been calculated that spending one minute at each exhibit will take nine months to see the whole collection!

Optional: Visit the royal mummy room that will be moved soon to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization.

By the end of the day, you will move to the train station to travel to Aswan.

Our Rep. will be waiting for you at Aswan train station. Then, you will move to visit The High Dam, which was built by president Nasser.

After that, visit the Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess of love Isis. It was made during the Ptolemaic Period.

Egyptologists believe that Philae was the last active site of the native ancient Egyptian religion and that the last Egyptian hieroglyph was written there in the late fourth century.

Spend your day in Aswan, then move ahead to Luxor by car and sleep your night at Luxor Hotel.

Find out the west bank of Luxor by visiting the Valley of the Kings, the largest burial ground in ancient Egypt. You will see 3 of the best-preserved tombs of the new kingdom.

Move on to visit the funerary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the longest-reigning female pharaoh of an indigenous Egyptian dynasty. Her name means “Foremost of Noble Ladies”.

Then you will move to visit the two Colossi of Memnon which are all the remaining of the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III.

By the end of your day tour, you will move ahead to transfer to Hurghada by bus.
