Begin your tour from Sharm El-Sheikh as you head to Taba Heights Marina, departing at 6:45 AM. By 7:30 AM, you’ll set sail for Aqaba Port in Jordan, arriving around 9:00 AM. Upon reaching Petra, you’ll meet your knowledgeable tour guide who will lead you through this ancient wonder.
Petra, the most famous archaeological site in Jordan and the capital of the Nabatean Kingdom, is located in the southwestern desert and dates back to 300 B.C. The city lies within a narrow gorge known as Al Siq, and is renowned for its numerous tombs and temples carved into the sandstone cliffs.
The highlight of Petra is the Khazneh, or The Treasury, an iconic 45-meter-high temple with an ornate, Greek-inspired facade. After exploring Petra’s incredible landmarks, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.
You will then return to Aqaba Port for the return sail to Taba Marina, where your car will be waiting to drive you back to Sharm El-Sheikh, concluding a memorable day of exploration.
