Our professional tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Aswan to start your day tour with a traditional wooden felucca that takes around 20 minutes to Kitchener's Island.Kitchener's Island is considered Aswan's second major island. The garden houses many exotic kinds of trees and plants imported by Kitchener from all around the world to transform it into a small paradise.
Right next to Aswan, in the Nile River, is Kitchener Island, home of the Botanical Garden.
Now officially known as the Aswan Botanical Gardens, this island was once owned by Lord Kitchener who transformed it into a verdant garden of exotic plants from Asia and Africa.
The gardens on the island are very popular with locals for picnicking or just strolling in the peaceful and beautiful surroundings. You can reach the island by felucca or speedboat from Aswan jetty.
